IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System in its full form. There are four areas on this test: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Today, we will simply talk about the IELTS Speaking section.
IELTS Speaking is divided into three sections:
Part 1 (open-ended inquiries)
Part 2 (cue card)
Part 3 (follow up questions related to cue card)
Describe an important letter or email you received.
You should say
When you received it?
Who sent it?
What was this letter about?
Why is this letter so important to you?
- Well, I don’t receive a lot of letters or emails because I usually use my phone or other apps on social media to contact with my loved ones.
- But I’d would like to take this chance to discuss about an email I received from an old school friend approximately two months ago.
- The truth is that I was simply reviewing my emails as I usually do when I noticed one with the title “your old school days friend.”
- I was genuinely shocked when I saw the subject, so I opened the email right away. To my astonishment, this email came from my old friend Manjot from school.
- Manjot and his family moved to Canada when we were studying together in the 10th grade, and we lost contact with one another after that.
- So, when I got an email from one of my old friends, it made me happy. It was fascinating to see that he still remembered everything since he wrote about the things from school that he still recalls, particularly our other friends and the type of mischief we used to get up to together.
- Additionally, he talked about his life in Canada in this email. He said that he is still studying there and doing a part-time job in addition to that.
- Finally, he made a brief mention on Canadian culture, including how many Punjabis reside there and how life there differs from that in Punjab.
- In fact, he advised me to relocate to Canada for my further education in this email.
- Sincerely, before reading this email, I was unsure about what I should be doing with my future after finishing my 10+2 course work.
- However, after reading this email, I made the decision to travel to Canada and apply for a student visa.
- Overall, one email enabled me to reconnect with a friend I had long since lost.
